DESCRIPTION
Yohji Yamamoto 2018-19 Autumn Winter Collection.
The front design has a fake layered and design of a woman face, it is a 2 piece tailored jacket that was used in the runway for LOOK12.The face is expressed using various techniques such as fabric switching and print embroidery.The outer main fabric is made of the classic wrinkled gabardine which went through an uneven dyeing done by craftsmen that was manually done in the factory in Kyoto. Only a small amount can be dyed at a time and because it is labour intensive, it makes it a piece that is unique as no 2 pieces are the same. The inner front body part has extremely small wrinkles and grains in the finishing process of wool. It is a classic fabric that has been used for decades by Yohji Yamamoto and has a natural texture of wool or grain on the finishing process of wool. It also produces a beautiful drape feeling. As the amount of fabric used is a lot, you can particularly enjoy the falling and drape of the fabric.
