DESCRIPTION
O project 2024 Spring Summer Collection.
Based on the popular "Bomber Shirt" from the same brand, this new design, called the "Balloon Shirt," incorporates front pockets.
Just like the Bomber Shirt, you can create a rounded silhouette by tightening the drawcord at the hem.
The added pockets give it an outerwear-like appearance, making it an ideal piece for layering in the spring and summer seasons.
The fabric used is mud-dyed silk seersucker. It is first dyed with orange coloring through a traditional Japanese technique called "Sharinbai," and then overdyed with a concentrate of iron contained in mud. This process creates a unique coloration through the chemical reaction between tannins and iron.
With repeated wear, the orange undertone, applied through the Sharinbai technique, begins to emerge, allowing for enjoyable aging of the fabric.
PRODUCTION AREA
Made in Japan
About O PROJECT
Designer: JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE
A unisex brand created by JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE, a designer from Antwerp, Belgium which started at during the spring-summer 2016 collection.
"FREE SPIRIT" is a concept that has poured into the designs, it is an open, free and unique collection in all aspects of pattern, design and material.
The "O” symbolises a "LINK” in connection. Each item is different but a story is created at the same time.As one circle "O", it slowly changes its shape and each personality is created. Everyday people grow and no day is the same. The designer believes that it is important to link "O" and that it is necessary to connect with each other as we express "the state of being connected or moving”.
