DESCRIPTION
O project 2024 Spring Summer Collection.
Based on the brand's popular bomber shirt, this new version, dubbed the "Balloon Shirt," features front pockets.
Like the bomber shirt, the hem has a drawstring that can be tightened to create a rounded silhouette.
The addition of pockets gives it a more outerwear-like appearance, making it an unquestionably useful piece for the spring and summer seasons.
The fabric is mud-dyed using a unique process. First, it's under-dyed with sharinbai, followed by an over-dye using a concentrated iron solution found in mud. This process creates a chemical reaction between the tannins and iron in the mud.
With repeated wear, the fabric will exhibit beautiful aging characteristics as the under-dyed orange color from the sharinbai becomes more apparent.
PRODUCTION AREA
Made in Japan
About O PROJECT
Designer: JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE
A unisex brand created by JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE, a designer from Antwerp, Belgium which started at during the spring-summer 2016 collection.
"FREE SPIRIT" is a concept that has poured into the designs, it is an open, free and unique collection in all aspects of pattern, design and material.
The "O” symbolises a "LINK” in connection. Each item is different but a story is created at the same time.As one circle "O", it slowly changes its shape and each personality is created. Everyday people grow and no day is the same. The designer believes that it is important to link "O" and that it is necessary to connect with each other as we express "the state of being connected or moving”.
