Yohji Yamamoto 2018-19 Autumn Winter Collection.
This pair of bottoms were used for the first look of the collection this season. The pleated pants has a big tuck on the front and uses a lot of fabric on a whole. The fabric used is the classic wrinkled gabardine that was dyed by craftsmen by hand in the factory in Kyoto. Only a small amount can be dyed at a time therefore each garment has a different dyeing look. As it was all manually done, the expression of the pants are all different and none are the same. This pair has a beautiful expression in movement as it has a very sleek drape that is unique to the classic wrinkled gabardine.
