This season, we're proud to debut Motivmfg's Spring-Summer 2025 collection at FASCINATE_THE R (Shinsaibashi, Osaka) - marking our first season carrying the brand.

Motiv mfg is a Beijing-based brand founded in 2016 by Samuel Wei and Daniel Gu.

After years in the fashion industry, they established Motiv mfg with a shared vision: "Creating clothing rooted in tradition while looking firmly toward the future."

Their foundation stems from concern over China's disappearing traditional craftsmanship, coupled with deep respect for Western vintage workwear and heritage culture.

They launched the brand believing the fusion of Chinese technical mastery with Western design could create clothing with entirely new value.

Operating from a converted 1950s factory loft, Motiv mfg handles every process from design to sewing in-house.

This ensures rigorous quality control, allows pursuit of their ideal garments, and maximizes artisans' skills.

This season's delivery includes 3 jacket styles and 4 pants styles.

The technical jackets blend urban athleticism with innovative features - using WOOLMARK COMPANY's OPTIM™ wool (100% waterproof) for exceptional drape, breathability and durability. These transitional pieces balance functionality and design for all but peak summer conditions.

By contrast, their relaxed-fit jackets showcase Motiv mfg's eclectic approach through high-twist silk-linen blends offering rich texture and effortless elegance.

The pants similarly captivate, weaving elements of ethnic dress, workwear and tailored slacks into uniquely expressive designs.
