doublet Tailored Jacket with Signature Embroidery

The first thing to note is the bold yet delicate three-dimensional embroidery applied to the traditional form of a classic tailored jacket.

In recent years, many brands have released items with printed chain designs, but those are all flat and two-dimensional in finish.

doublet, however, used its signature three-dimensional embroidery technique.

The texture of the thread and the dimensional finish create a refined and luxurious feel that printing cannot achieve.

In addition to the chains, the embroidery incorporates motifs like dogs and hearts, adding playful details throughout.

By adding embroidery to the otherwise serious and formal tailored jacket, doublet highlights its distinctive individuality.

This piece embodies the theme of the 2025 Autumn/Winter collection, “VILLAIN.”

The conventional tailored jacket as a “hero” is reinterpreted through avant-garde artwork into a new role as “villain,” challenging and overturning the traditional concept of formalwear.

The outer fabric is 100% wool, while the lining is 100% cupro.

The wool offers durability and rich texture, while also being soft to the touch.

It is also wrinkle-resistant and easily restored with steam, making at-home care simple and convenient.

The silhouette is an oversized cut typical of doublet.

With its generous body width, it allows flexibility in layering innerwear.

Pairing it with a heavy knit makes it suitable for colder seasons.

Shoulder pads are built-in to help maintain the shape and prevent distortion.

They also emphasize the shoulder line, giving the overall look a sharp and stylish impression.

The innerwear is a long-sleeve shirt from FRACTION.

This shirt is based on a classic “regular fit.”

The cuffs feature double buttons and are designed with extra width, making them easy to roll up.

The hem has a flat design, so it works well both as an inner layer or on its own, offering excellent versatility.

The material is “Cotton 80 Typewriter,” treated with traditional Omi bleaching techniques.

The fabric gets its name from the paper once used in typewriters, known for its crisp, paper-like texture.

Woven from fine threads at high density, it remains lightweight yet opaque, so it can be worn without worrying about transparency.

This item is available in multiple fabrics despite sharing the same design.

From crisp and firm materials like this one to softer, semi-transparent ones, the range is diverse.

doublet Trousers Designed Like a Chain Accessory Wrapped Around the Waist

For the pants, we selected the Chain Tailored Trousers, designed as a set-up with the jacket.

Just like the jacket, these trousers feature embroidered chain accessory motifs.

While the jacket only has embroidery on the front, the trousers are embroidered both front and back, giving the appearance of chains wrapped around the waist.

They also feature humorous and charming motifs like dogs and hearts, embroidered alongside the chains.

This playful design softens the typically stark impression of chain motifs, transforming them into approachable, daily-wear pieces.

The embroidery design appears across shirts, hoodies, and other pieces this season, serving as a hallmark of doublet’s collection.

The materials mirror the jacket: wool for the outer fabric and cupro for the lining.

Walking in them brings out wool’s natural drape, adding movement and elegance.

Beyond the striking surface design, the use of cupro lining underscores doublet’s dedication to quality, even in unseen details.

The trousers also undergo uneven dyeing, creating a vintage-like finish. Combined with the dimensional embroidery, the result is bold and full of character.

The silhouette is a wide cut, typical of doublet, with a gentle taper toward the hem.

It’s a perfect fusion of formal trousers and playful brand identity.

For footwear, we chose GUIDI Back Zip Boots.

Because the jacket and trousers carry strong design elements, the look is grounded with simple boots.

The selected 788X model is a modern wide-fit variation of GUIDI’s iconic back zip boots, combining presence with enhanced comfort.

Its defining feature is the “wide fit,” providing extra room across the width, making them particularly comfortable for those with high insteps.

The design caters well to wide feet and high insteps.

One of GUIDI’s signature features is the one-piece (also called whole-cut) construction.

This method uses a single piece of leather with no seams except at the heel, giving the boots a refined and elegant look.

The luxurious craftsmanship highlights the leather’s natural expression. With wear, unique organic creases (drapes) form naturally.
