FDMTL Denim Jacket Combining Historic G‑Jean Designs

Part of the 25SS “Can’t Remember” collection celebrating the brand’s 20th anniversary, this denim jacket boldly fuses the iconic Type I and Type III G‑Jean designs.
The left panel draws inspiration from the early 1900s Type I with its box pleats and single pocket, while the right panel borrows the V‑seam from the 1960s Type III, intentionally creating an unbalanced yet reinterpreted vintage aesthetic.
Featuring four pockets, a key holder loop, and a charm bell, this jacket balances utility with playful details.

The left chest patch pocket integrates box pleats, a hallmark of Type I, adding a strong, classic presence.
The right chest features a V‑seam with an internal flap pocket for a sharp, modern touch.
High‑strength core‑thread contrast stitching combines vintage looks with modern durability, while oxidized metal buttons and logo‑engraved rivets elevate the attention to detail.

Though based on a workwear‑inspired boxy silhouette, the mix of pleats and V‑seams directs the eye diagonally, lightening the overall impression.
Generous shoulder and body widths allow layering with sweatshirts or thick knits without discomfort.

Whiskering at the elbows and back yoke and sashiko‑inspired repairs add a nod to boro textiles.
This process gives the jacket an instant worn‑in depth that will only grow richer with years of wear.

The styling is elevated with a necklace featuring four uniquely designed rings as its pendant.
Worn over an open‑front jacket, this necklace adds a striking focal point while the 70cm chain subtly shifts the upper‑body balance downward for a refined silhouette.

Completing the look are a bracelet combining pure anchor chains and rotating skull charms, along with a sterling silver ring featuring a bold twist design.
These understated accessories enhance the overall coordination without overwhelming it.

KAMIYA – Wide Bermuda Shorts with Striking Volume

From KAMIYA’s 2025 Spring/Summer collection themed “Mannish Boy,” these wide Bermuda shorts embody youthful rebellion and nonconformity.
Crafted from 12‑oz duck canvas, they feature BORO‑style patching, paint splatters, and uneven grey overdyeing for a lived‑in aesthetic from day one.
Triple‑stitched seams preserve their workwear‑inspired toughness, while the flared cut from hip to hem creates a modern, voluminous silhouette.

Stress points are reinforced with thick triple‑stitching, replicating vintage workwear construction, while the hems are intentionally distressed for fraying detail.
The waistband features original logo‑engraved buttons designed to develop a muted metallic patina over time.
Tears of varying sizes expose linen offcuts and indigo scraps beneath, forming a textured patchwork.
White paint splatters evoke the marks of an atelier workspace, set against the faded grey base for a design full of character.

For footwear, classic low‑cut sneakers were selected.
Featuring a toe cap and 5‑eyelet low‑profile design, they are built with a durable vulcanized sole.
The side stripe is printed with a hand‑drawn design by designer Kamiya during the prototyping stage, adding a personal, creative touch.
Their versatile, understated design ensures they can be worn effortlessly with a variety of outfits.
