Today, we are introducing a street-style look featuring a down jacket with intricate embroidery from
KHOKI, available at FASCINATE_THE R (Osaka, Shinsaibashi).
This article provides an in-depth look at the new collection pieces—please enjoy it to the end.
Down Jacket with Unique All-Over Embroidery
This down jacket features embroidery throughout, inspired by traditional British fox-hunting scenes and depicting trees and animals in intricate detail.
The appeal of this jacket lies in the texture created by the embroidered threads. The subtle irregularities of the embroidery catch and reflect light, giving the fabric surface a complex play of shadow and depth. Even though the jacket is monochromatic, it has a rich, dimensional expression full of visual interest.
By reinterpreting traditional motifs through playful, modern embroidery techniques, KHOKI achieves both high decorative appeal and the practical warmth of a functional down jacket.
The silhouette is a boxy shape filled evenly with down to maintain consistent volume and structure throughout. This balanced fill prevents clumping, giving the jacket a clean, architectural form.
A drawcord at the hem allows for silhouette adjustment—loosening it creates a straight, boxy outline, while tightening it transforms the shape into a rounded balloon silhouette. This flexibility lets you adapt the jacket’s balance and proportions depending on your outfit of the day.
The drawcord also has practical use: tightening it helps block cold air from entering from below, preserving warmth and comfort in colder conditions.
The material is thick cotton, with a matte, calm texture that diffuses light softly, emphasizing the definition of each embroidered line.
Additionally, the fabric produces minimal rustling noise during movement and feels softer to the touch compared to typical nylon shells, ensuring comfort and ease of wear in daily life.
The inner layer features a signature KHOKI piece—a crewneck sweatshirt reconstructed into a French-style, collarless cardigan by cutting open the front body.
Antique-style shell buttons add a subtle contrast of reflection against the matte surface. The open front design introduces vertical visual flow, reducing side bulk and allowing for seamless layering under outerwear.
The look is completed with a collaboration cap between CA4LA and KAMIYA.
The front features a stencil-style print combining a “K” and a feather, elegantly channeling a military-inspired aesthetic.
Layered bleaching and distressing techniques give each piece unique fading and worn effects, producing natural depth and individuality across panels and seams.
Denim Pants Featuring Distinct 3D Structure Through Advanced Cutting
These denim pants feature a three-dimensional wide tapered silhouette constructed through a combination of 3D cutting techniques and precise tuck design.
Deep front tucks at the front panel create generous room around the hips, ensuring comfort and ease of movement.
Multiple panel switches and darts are intentionally placed along the front, back, and sides of the legs. This three-dimensional patterning gathers the volume produced by the tucks naturally along the body line while suppressing unnecessary outward spread. The result is a unique silhouette that maintains ample volume while appearing streamlined from the outside, gently narrowing toward the hem.
The design emphasizes a body-centered structure that is difficult to achieve with traditional flat pattern-making—embodying KHOKI’s architectural approach to tailoring.
The fit offers moderate room through the hips and thighs while gradually tapering below the knees, achieving a refined balance that maintains mobility without sacrificing a clean leg line. Curved panels and darts follow the natural contours and flexion of the body, dispersing tension and excess fabric to create a form-fitting surface. This method also allows the fabric to drape smoothly and form natural, aesthetically pleasing creases when worn.
The fabric is a diagonal-twill denim, superior in abrasion resistance compared to plain weaves. It has a soft drape that follows body movement while maintaining a durable shell-like structure, balancing resilience with flexibility.
For footwear, the look is styled with low-cut shoes from Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO’s General Scale line.
The design takes inspiration from the iconic platform rubber soles of rock and punk culture.
The thick platform sole creates a bold, architectural silhouette around the feet, providing balance and grounding to the overall look. This volume ensures the shoes maintain their presence even when paired with wide or straight-legged pants.
Reinterpreting classic cultural elements into modern sneaker design, these shoes serve as a contemporary anchor that harmonizes the proportions of the entire outfit.
