Today, we’re featuring a styling from MASU, available at FASCINATE KYOTO, showcasing the collaboration piece with Verdy—the Memorial Pants.

Putting Graphic Pants in the Spotlight

The centerpiece of today’s look is the "M.B.C. Memorial Pants," a collaboration between MASU and VERDY. To let the pants stand out, we chose a subdued cotton T-shirt by Omar Afridi for the inner layer.

We then layered with an ISO knit cardigan in the same color as the pants’ graphic to visually elevate the styling and add a relaxed sense of ease.

Utilizing the pants’ mid-length cut, pairing them with sneakers from KAMIYA completes the look by incorporating socks as a visible part of the outfit.

Additionally, as a subtle disruption to the otherwise sleek styling, we added the MASU x VAN JAC shopping bag. This simple item brings balance through intentional minimalism, while still drawing out the unique energy that defines MASU’s aesthetic.

Adding Dimension with a Knit Cardigan

The outerwear choice, the ISO knit cardigan, adds a layer of softness and depth to the overall styling.

This loosely knit, low-gauge cardigan creates rich visual texture, and when layered over the simple and slim Omar Afridi cotton T-shirt, it generates a structured, dimensional look.

The compact length of the T-shirt and the dropped shoulder of the cardigan create a loose silhouette that pairs well with the voluminous Memorial Pants around the waist, elevating the center of gravity while maintaining a relaxed vibe throughout.

Details like the drawstring tag on the back and vintage-style buttons reflect the brand's aesthetic down to the finest points, giving it enough character to hold its own against the standout pants. It’s a versatile piece, perfect for those slightly chilly spring days.

The "M.B.C. Memorial Pants" by MASU feature hand-drawn graphics by VERDY, digitally printed on corduroy fabric—an unmistakably unique and impactful piece. Every detail, down to the ink bleeding and smudges, is intricately expressed, giving the pants an art-like presence.

For the finishing touch, we chose the MASU × VAN JAC shopping bag—another collaborative item.

This reinterpretation of the iconic VAN brand’s 1960s–70s Ivy-style shopper, updated with a contemporary silver foil print by MASU, is a standout piece.

The glossy finish not only adds a visual accent but also evokes a cultural and historical narrative embedded within the outfit.

To complete the look, we added KAMIYA sneakers—a basic yet playfully designed pair that injects a sense of airiness and ease into the outfit. This creates a modern styling full of story and cultural references, bridging fashion and lifestyle seamlessly.
