🇺🇸 90-Day Duty Break: China-Origin Tariff Drops 145% → 30%

This announcement is intended for our U.S. customers, in light of recent changes to the U.S.–China tariff system.
We would like to provide an update on the current tariff conditions for U.S.-bound orders.

This notice is for our U.S. customers and reflects the latest U.S.–China tariff changes announced by the White House on May 12, 2025.

📌 KEY POINTS

• ● Beginning May 14, 2025, the U.S. and China will temporarily reduce their reciprocal IEEPA tariffs for 90 days.
• ● U.S. retaliatory duty on goods whose Country of Origin is China, Hong Kong, or Macau will fall from +125% to +10% (May 14 → Aug 12, 2025).
• ● The pre-existing Section 301 duty of +20% on these goods remains.
•  → Effective total duty on China/HK/Macau items will drop from about +145% to roughly +30%.

📌 FAQ

• Q1: Will a Japan-origin order worth 90,000 JPY (≈ US$580) be taxed when shipped to the USA?
  A: No. It is below the US$800 de minimis threshold, so no duty is charged.
• Q2: What if the same checkout contains Japan-origin goods worth 60,000 JPY and China-origin goods worth 40,000 JPY and ship to the US?
  A: After May 2, 2025, you should split the order; otherwise the entire parcel loses the exemption.

🇺🇸 Details For U.S. Customers

• ● All product prices are now displayed excluding tax (pre-duty pricing).
• ● The US$800 de minimis exemption no longer applies when the order contains any product whose Country of Origin (COO) is China, Hong Kong or Macau.
• Made in China products apply a 30% tariff regardless of the value.
• ● All other COOs (including Japan) keep the de minimis and pay a +10% tariff only when the order value exceeds US$800.
• ● What this means for goods made in Japan:
  • ≤ US$800: still duty-free.
  • US$801 – 2,500: +10% tariff; formal entry not required.
• ● Orders exceeding US$800 will incur duties based on the country of origin:
  Made in China: 30%, others are all 10%.
• ● Practical tips for shoppers:
  • Ship separately: place China/HK/Macau items in their own checkout and parcel to preserve de minimis on Japanese or European items.
• ● Duties and taxes for U.S. orders are automatically calculated and displayed as
