Unable to wear these vintage shoes due to age-related deterioration, he aimed to create 'wearable vintage shoes.' This led to the creation of new soles that faithfully replicate the worn heels and decayed rubber of actual vintage footwear.It is impossible to wear vintage shoes because of the deterioration of the components, but he wanted to make vintage shoes that can be worn, so he created a "new" sole based on actual vintage shoes, faithfully reproducing the worn out look of the heel and the rotten rubber.Moreover, deeply committed to 'sustainability,' Mihara has used entirely biodegradable materials for everything from the soles to the uppers and sewing threads, ensuring the sneakers are crafted with environmental consciousness.
