71 MICHAEL 24-25 Autumn Winter collection

Known as the "Knit☆Horinouchi" with the nickname "Crazy Knit Thunder Knit", this collaboration piece was realized through a passionate call from the 71MICHAEL designer who loves knits. The piece is inspired by a flower called "peony" from the work of renowned photographer Sheila Rock. The piece blends the designer's love for "knit", "music", and "flowers" with a beautiful yet relaxed silhouette.

"Knit☆Horinouchi" creates impactful knit designs featuring iconic figures from all eras, including David Bowie, Bruce Lee, and Mahatma Gandhi. After graduating from Kuwasawa Design School, he worked as a graphic designer and started his work as a knit artist under the name "Knit☆Horinouchi" in 2012. He has also released official collaboration items with musicians like Yasuyuki Okamura and Tatsuya Nakamura.

Sheila Rock, a female photographer born in the U.S., has been active in London since 1970, gaining success in the entertainment and music photography scene from 1979. Her work captures the raw energy and glamour of that era, featuring artists like Paul Weller, The Clash, Siouxsie Sioux, Brian Setzer, and Yukihiro Takahashi, along with snaps of punks, mods, and new romantics. In the 1980s, she produced numerous masterpieces for music magazines like 'The Face', and her work was featured in publications such as 'Elle', 'Glamour', and 'The Telegraph Magazine'. Sheila has held solo exhibitions at prominent galleries such as London's Photographers' Gallery and New York's June Bateman Gallery.
