DEVOA 24-25AW Collection
For this special edition, we have used exclusive leather custom-ordered from the Italian tannery MARYAM.
Although MARYAM is a relatively new tannery, founded by staff who honed their skills at GUIDI, it specializes in horse leather, known for its high quality and craftsmanship.
The leather used in this jacket is crafted using the "vacchetta" method, where after vegetable tanning, a generous amount of oil is slowly absorbed into the horse leather, giving it a fine texture and rich, heavy appearance.
Over time, the leather softens quickly after wear, and as it is used more, the oil rises to the surface, creating a unique sheen and deep character.
The leather undergoes a washing and kneading process during production, which leaves a textured, wrinkled finish with a three-dimensional effect.
Initially, it may feel stiff, but it has been treated to adapt to the wearer's body within about a day.
Each wear will make it mold more naturally to your body, a unique appeal of this jacket.
The design is based on a classic single rider's jacket, but has been made more minimalist.
DEVOA's anatomical pattern has been used to ensure ease of movement by meticulously adjusting the balance of the shoulder, elbow, and underarm areas.
The silhouette is a regular fit, featuring slant pockets on both sides, and the front is equipped with a YKK Excella double zip.
Hand-stitching around the collar is kept to a minimum to ensure clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic.
For comfort, the body is lined with cotton, and the sleeves are lined with a TEIJIN material designed to reduce static electricity.
This ensures the jacket is not only stylish but also comfortable to wear.
