doulet 26 Spring Summer Collection.
This is a track jacket that further updates the chain-embroidery series that appeared in the 25AW season.
This season, motifs such as a fish reminiscent of Nemo and a car keychain have been added, evolving it to be "even cuter".
On nylon fabric treated with a spray uneven-dye process, chains with charms inspired by fish and lures are represented in photo-realistic embroidery exactly as in the photos.
This item adopts a distinctive dyeing method (sulfur treatment), so the bulk (finished product) varies in color and expression from piece to piece.
This is not a defect; the unpredictable results of that process ― the fact that you never know what will appear ― and each piece's unique character are intended as the product's "feature" and its "strength/quality". (In particular, the brown can show more dramatic color differences than the charcoal in places such as the V-shaped areas where the dye takes more.)
Not only one side but both sides require embroidery, and doublet ensures embroidery is applied fully across the back, including the seat area.
This is an extremely labor-intensive operation.
Rather than taking the easy route of a simple print, doublet's way of doing "luxury" is to deliberately take the time and care to provide an authentic, carefully crafted "real thing".
The "tools" that hook a fish's life are sewn onto the garment as decoration.
This contrast makes you imagine how much technique and life intersect behind the one fish we casually eat.
