Whiskers and wear from truly worn vintage denim were scanned and digitized; fading/damage areas are designed at the weave stage and expressed through structural variation rather than post-processing.
Fading is conveyed by adding colored yarns/structures, not dye removal; whiskers appear as weft floats, and jacquard relief casts shadows for depth beyond prints.
Design details include a gusset for mobility in the drop-crotch, with twisted panels around the knee to create a three-dimensional look.
The reduced fabric volume in the inseam yields a loose yet sharp impression.
Hem finishing also mimics turn-ups and fraying via jacquard expression.
After weaving, wash/bleach/destroy treatments blend realistic aging with woven precision.
Though the look is heavily distressed, the hand is thick and smooth; because “designed deterioration” is structurally woven, tear strength and abrasion resistance remain.
At 13.5 oz―on par with standard jeans―the dense weave keeps the silhouette from collapsing.
