About the 26SS Collection
The theme presented for 26SS is “Collective Reinterpretation.”
Rather than a top-down approach, the collection is built around “polyphonic design,” created through dialogue and friction among multiple members with different backgrounds.
Existing codes such as military, workwear, and ethnic garments are deconstructed and reinterpreted through intentional misreadings and reappropriations, updating them into everyday wear that feels both familiar and new.
This season’s items can be described as “handsomely crafted collages,” encompassing not only patchwork but also collages of culture and time itself.
For example, the structure of French workwear is layered with embroidery techniques such as Indian Kantha and Central Asian Suzani, allowing different contexts to coexist within a single garment.
Furthermore, thorough vintage processing and fading blur the boundary between the past (memory) and the present (reality), creating a balance reminiscent of a quiet dissonance.
From a technical perspective, an approach symbolic of the collection is the application of shibori dyeing—rooted in Kyoto craftsmanship—to military pieces, rewriting “camouflage for concealment” into “design for distinction.”
In addition, “imperfection” is intentionally designed through calculated unevenness and wear, producing soft nuances that feel as though memories are fading, while leaving space for the wearer to project their own story.
Moreover, 3D-cut denim featuring spiral-like paneling achieves both sculptural form and freedom of movement, simultaneously realizing visual impact and comfort.
This delivery consists of a total of 10 styles: 2 jackets, 1 hoodie, 1 cardigan, 1 shirt, 1 T-shirt, and 4 pairs of pants.
