PROTOTYPES 25-26AW New Delivery -FASCINATE

From the 25-26AW collection, we have started carrying Prototypes at FASCINATE_THE R (Osaka Shinsaibashi), and the first delivery has now arrived.
This delivery includes a total of five items: two types of jackets, two types of knitwear/T-shirts, and one type of pants.

This delivery includes a total of five items: two types of jackets, two types of knitwear/T-shirts, and one type of pants. Each piece strongly conveys the world-building and identity of the brand.

Prototypes is a fashion design duo based in Zurich, composed of Laura Beham and Callum Pidgeon.
Both designers gained experience during the Demna Gvasalia era of VETEMENTS, and launched their own brand in 2021. The core principle of the brand is “upcycling” and “repurposing,” using only deadstock fabrics and discarded garments. Their approach strongly inherits the conceptual lineage of VETEMENTS — taking the “ordinary” (everyday clothing) and placing it within a luxury context.

The 25-26AW collection theme, “Series 08,” translates this critical approach into a specific cultural context: 1990s rave culture.
The primary inspiration is a direct reference to the legendary British electronic group The Prodigy and their 1997 album “The Fat of the Land.”
This work symbolized the explosive cultural moment when the once-underground rave movement — filled with rebellious spirit and adrenaline-charged energy — made an aggressive impact on the mainstream.

The world-building of the collection was also fully realized in its runway presentation. The show space — where electronic music pulsed from a DJ booth — was covered in a “carpet of scattered leaves, twigs, and branches,” referencing the illegal raves of the 1990s that took place in remote forests or abandoned warehouses on the outskirts of cities.
Just as Prototypes reconstruct clothing from discarded garments, they reconstructed the *environment* in which the clothing should exist using discarded natural materials (fallen leaves and branches), making the presentation a major topic of discussion.

The items we received this time clearly reflect the 25-26AW collection theme, “Series 08,” throughout the lineup.
