Horse Leather Jacket Embodying the Collection Theme “Loose Tension”

This detachable-hood horse leather jacket embodies the D.HYGEN 25–26AW collection theme “Loose Tension.”
It’s an outstanding piece that showcases the brand’s signature pattern-making techniques.
With the hood on, it gives a casual impression; remove it, and you get a minimalist look—making it a versatile jacket suitable for multiple styles.

The key feature of this piece lies in its 3D pattern cutting that ensures excellent mobility. It employs an original cutting design that flows seamlessly from the body to the sleeves, forming shape without relying on traditional armhole seams. The elbows are curved to follow natural arm movement, reducing the stiffness often associated with leather garments. As a result, the jacket offers exceptional flexibility even when bending forward, raising arms, or driving. Despite its sharp appearance, it feels light and easy to move in.

The silhouette is a standard fit. With a moderately long length and balanced width, it works well both as a standalone blouson or as an inner layer under a coat. The fit leans toward a tailored just-fit—not too tight, not too loose—allowing room for a sweatshirt or light knit without feeling bulky. The three-dimensional sewing lines help the structure maintain its shape, ensuring the jacket retains a defined outline whether zipped up or worn open.

The material is full vegetable-tanned horse leather.
The base is slowly tanned using plant-based tannins, then infused with oil and dyed through to the core. Over time, the color deepens and natural creases enhance its character with wear and care.
Horse leather offers tightly packed fibers and high durability while remaining lighter than cowhide of the same thickness. Minor scratches from daily use can be easily blended with oil care.
The lining features 100% cotton for the body to ensure breathability, and 100% cupro for the sleeves to allow smooth movement. The black tone highlights the stitching and panel lines, emphasizing a sharp, sophisticated appearance that complements the natural texture of the horse leather.

For the inner layer, we selected a long-sleeve top with a zip-adjustable front design.
The adjustable front allows for versatile layering, letting you adapt the style depending on the occasion.
The silhouette is relaxed but features a slightly slim cut in the sleeves and torso, balancing comfort and structure.
The result is a piece that combines D.HYGEN’s precise pattern-making with playful design elements.

Straight Slim Denim Crafted Through Multi-Stage Damage and Repair Processing

This straight slim denim was designed under D.HYGEN’s core concept of “STRAINISM,” focusing on advanced processing techniques.
The design incorporates D.HYGEN’s philosophy—such as the straight slim line, the tension-inducing button fly, and an anatomical pattern that eliminates the back rise seam—into an everyday wearable form.
When paired with the brand’s leather or hooded jackets, the textural contrast is enhanced, and even with a simple T-shirt or sweatshirt, the denim’s crafted processing stands out prominently.

The design is based on the classic five-pocket structure, enhanced with the brand’s signature functional details.
The front uses a button fly for durability and tactile control. The waistband, slightly wider at about 5cm, provides a stable fit when worn low on the hips. The belt loops are reinforced and widened, with the right-back loop enlarged to accommodate wallet chains.
The back pockets are positioned to minimize pressure when seated, balancing clean aesthetics with comfort. Damage areas are repaired using contrasting fabric patches, and together with the hard wash finish, create an authentic aged effect.

The pattern work is distinctive in that it intentionally omits the back rise seam, often found at the center of the hips. Instead, ease is created through panel shaping and darts, reducing tension when sitting, walking, or bending.
The silhouette is designed as a straight slim cut—maintaining the sharp narrowness of the brand’s signature “curve slim” style, while emphasizing straight lines from thigh to hem for easier coordination.
Neither too tight nor too loose, the proportions allow smooth pairing with boots, leather shoes, or chunky sneakers, while matching effortlessly with short blousons or long coats.

The fabric is a versatile 10.5oz stretch denim suitable for year-round wear.
After reactive dyeing in black, a surface coating is added, followed by an intense stone wash to highlight fading and tonal gradation. Additional multi-stage processes of damage and repair create a muted, leather-like sheen and unique variations in texture for each piece.
The 2% polyurethane blend enhances mobility even with the slim fit, minimizing stiffness despite the layered treatments. This combination of stretch and durability results in a denim that balances a sleek fit with everyday comfort.

For footwear, GUIDI’s mid-length side-zip boots with a single sole and single heel were chosen.
The angled shaft cutline adds dimensional volume to the silhouette.
Crafted from full-grain horse leather using Goodyear-welted construction, these boots combine longevity and versatility—an essential piece for refined, modern styling.
Over time, the leather molds to your feet, developing natural creases and a character that’s uniquely your own.
