Today, we would like to introduce a styling feature from KLASICA, available at FASCINATE_THE R (Osaka Shinsaibashi). The look centers on a voluminous blouson from the 25-26AW collection. We’ll also touch on the individual items used, so please enjoy until the end.

A Blouson Fusing Multiple Archetypes

This short-length blouson directly embodies the theme of the 25-26AW collection: “Reconstructing military/work/hunting styles in the KLASICA way.” Its base archetype comes from the A-2 deck jacket with chest pockets and a plain collar. Instead of inheriting the flat, planar construction of the original, KLASICA reinterprets it with gathered detailing at the back and voluminous sleeves with tucks, creating rounded three-dimensionality that looks beautiful from the side and back as well.

The front opening features a smooth-operating EXCELLA® zipper, while the nut buttons (made from natural seeds) carry a subtle sheen that elevates the heavy tweed with sophistication. The sleeves are designed to balloon out with tucks, tapering toward the cuffs, offering a wide range of motion without stiffness—even layered over thick knitwear. At the back, generous gathers are drawn into a yoked panel, adding depth and ease, ensuring that the garment doesn’t fall into the flat “utility wear” look despite its military inspiration. Decoration is kept minimal, focusing instead on silhouette and material.

The silhouette balances a short length with generous body width and voluminous sleeves for a relaxed fit. From the front it appears sharp and clean, while from the side and back the gathers and sleeve curves emphasize dimensionality. Sized for ease of layering, it accommodates heavy knits and sweatshirts underneath without bulk, making it practical for harsh winter conditions. The “integrated back gathers” and “tucked sleeves” create rounded volume and a distinctive air space between body and garment.

The fabric is a tweed blend of 96% wool, 2% cotton, and 2% nylon with kemp fibers. Woven with coarse-count yarn, it intentionally retains a slightly rough, dry hand feel and firmness rather than smooth worsted clarity. A garment wash finish softens the hand and brings out natural tonal variation. The kemp fibers resist dye, leaving tiny white flecks that create a “mixed” depth impossible in uniform black. This interplay with the tweed weave produces visual richness, with shades of brown surfacing and shifting depending on the light.

For the inner layer, we selected a voluminous turtleneck knit. Its surface combines fine, uneven Amundsen (crepe-like) textures for a visually rich fabric. Though it appears thick, it feels light to wear, with a neck design that can be scrunched or folded. Ribbing at the cuffs and hem holds the silhouette, preventing slouch and making it versatile for standalone wear or layering under outerwear.

The highlight is the Amundsen-textured wool fabric with Shetland characteristics. Light yet insulating, it traps air for warmth, while its micro-uneven surface keeps the feel dry and prevents cling. Slight tonal variations inherent in the natural fibers and top-dyed yarn add depth, giving each piece a unique expression. This balance of texture, comfort, and visual nuance makes it ideal for extended wear through the colder months.

Easy Pants with Eye-Catching Bias Tuck Design

Easy pants that combine a wide-leaning tapered silhouette with a bias tuck (diagonal pleat) design. While ensuring ample room around the waist and hips, the cut tapers gently towards the hem, achieving both a relaxed feel and a clean appearance, making this a highly versatile piece. Easy to handle even for those new to wide fits, while offering plenty of utility for those already accustomed to wide pants, making it a recommended option for everyday wear.

The standout feature is the bias tuck at the front. By inserting pleats diagonally across the grain, extra three-dimensional ease is added around the waist, creating diagonal ridges across the front. This emphasizes vertical flow in the fabric, preventing the wide silhouette from appearing sloppy. The waistband is equipped with elastic and a drawcord for adjustable sizing, allowing a quick, belt-free fit tailored to scene or preference. A single asymmetrically placed back pocket on the right keeps the look light while retaining practicality.

The silhouette combines a wide, relaxed fit with a gentle taper. A deep rise ensures the hips are well-shaped, making the legs appear longer when tucked in. Designed slightly slimmer than the brand’s standard wide fit, the pants pair easily with a variety of shoes and tops. The full-length cut allows the hem to drape naturally or adjust to shoe volume, letting you fine-tune the “stack” depending on styling. With its relaxed impression, it works equally well for daily use.

The fabric is the same kemp-blend tweed (96% wool, 2% cotton, 2% nylon) used in the blouson. Woven with lower-count yarn, it retains a deliberately rough and firm hand rather than the sleek smoothness of worsted. A garment wash softens the stiffness, introducing natural tonal variation. The kemp fibers (naturally whitish, dye-resistant hairs) are left visible, giving the surface a subtle flecked texture and added depth. Durable and resilient, it is well-suited for heavy daily wear. The tactile finish combines firmness with a dry texture, making it dependable even in harsh winter conditions.

For footwear, a pair of derby shoes with striking sole colors was selected. Featuring a brown upper with orange-toned soles, the design is unique yet cohesive, providing a refined individuality. The pants balance well even when worn at “half-cushion” length—where the hem lightly touches the shoe’s vamp when buttoned one step tighter. While similar to GUIDI’s classic “992,” this model has a newly adjusted last, giving the toe box more volume and a distinctive shape. Comfort and weight remain comparable to standard derbies, ensuring versatile compatibility across many styles.
