Patchwork Jacket with Geometric Design

A short-length jacket reconstructed from the archetypes of work jackets and coveralls, redesigned with diamond-shaped patchwork panels.
It features a geometric design that combines subtle textures with visual complexity.
This jacket reflects ZIGGY CHEN’s originality, blending elements of traditional Chinese design, and is ideal for early autumn when the chill begins to set in.

Diamond-shaped panels are arranged in a diagonal lattice pattern, with contrast created by combining different fabrics in the same color to emphasize depth and shadows. The neckline is neatly finished with a flat shirt collar, while the cuffs and hem borrow tailoring details from shirting to add refinement to the workwear inspiration.
A piped chest pocket (with curved stitching) and practical waist patch pockets ensure utility, while horn buttons treated with a stone wash on the front provide a subtle aged nuance.

The silhouette is a relaxed loose fit, with length close to a standard coverall.
With ample room in the shoulders and body, it layers comfortably over sweatshirts or mid-gauge knits. While the look is substantial, the brushed material and patchwork construction trap air, making the wear surprisingly lightweight.
Works especially well with wide or straight bottoms, and the cropped length combined with generous body width shifts the balance upward, making it easy to style as the main outerwear in winter.

Each panel is crafted from premium fabrics, alternating between 100% cashmere and virgin wool blends to create tonal contrasts within the same color palette. Brushing adds a soft touch and dimensionality, producing natural shadowing within the black fabric.
The multi-layered lining allows for smooth wear, even over knits, and ensures warmth even with light innerwear, making it a practical option for transitional weather.
The tonal contrasts from different materials highlight the geometry of the patchwork, creating depth even in a monochrome design.

For the innerwear, we selected a shirt with a high neck that leaves a striking impression.
Based on a minimal design, the lowest button is placed slightly higher, creating a subtle sense of unconventional detail and individuality.
Thick horn buttons add an appropriate weight and refined touch.

The pattern-making reflects ZIGGY CHEN’s unique craftsmanship and construction techniques.
The fabric is a cotton-cashmere blend, offering a rich texture with a soft, voluminous hand feel.
A minimal yet meticulously detailed piece.

To finish the look, we added a slim, short-length scarf woven in a jacquard stripe pattern as an accent.
Just by adding the scarf, the face area stands out sharply, enhancing the completeness of the styling.
With tapered ends, it ties neatly in a single or half knot, making it versatile and easy to pair with shirts, T-shirts, or light tops, offering wide-ranging styling options.

Wide Pants with ZIGGY CHEN’s Signature Elegant Tapered Line

Wide pants combining double front pleats that create volume around the waist with a gentle taper narrowing toward the hem.
Thanks to its carefully calculated proportions and tightened hem balance, the trousers achieve a refined appearance while offering relaxed comfort.
This versatile silhouette pairs effortlessly with anything from casual cut-and-sewn tops to crisp shirts, making it a reliable choice for both on and off occasions.

The two front pleats are not merely decorative but functional, creating ample room from the waist to the thighs.
This allows the fabric to fall smoothly, preventing excess puffiness around the pockets and ensuring a neat appearance whether standing or seated. The waistband includes belt loops and concealed elastic on both sides, supporting a range of styling from refined belted looks to relaxed beltless wear.
The zip fly with button closure ensures smooth functionality.

The silhouette is defined by a soft overall taper that enhances a relaxed mood.
With a comfortable waistline and generous room around the hips and thighs, the trousers provide excellent mobility. The gradual narrowing below the knee avoids an overly wide look, maintaining versatility for pairing with a variety of footwear.
Designed for ease of movement, the cut minimizes fabric strain even when sitting or moving for long periods, and offers a stable fit even when worn without a belt.

The fabric is a blend of 98% virgin wool and 2% elastane.
It combines the soft, voluminous feel of wool with a lightly brushed finish that absorbs light, resulting in a deep, matte black tone that brings a composed appearance to the overall styling.
Even with a small amount of elastane, the trousers gain flexible stretch that adapts to movement such as bending the knees or sitting, while resisting deformation. With moderate thickness and volume, the fabric also provides warmth, making it wearable from early autumn through spring.

For footwear, we selected the lace-up ankle boots “Danny” from Ann Demeulemeester’s iconic lineup.
Their classic form elevates the styling with understated sophistication. Crafted in Italy from high-quality calf leather, the boots combine luxurious texture with durability, while the lace-up design allows for adjustable ankle support.
The broad fit ensures comfort, and the streamlined front silhouette paired with the matte black leather delivers a chic, modern impression.
As a classic lace-up boot, they integrate seamlessly into a wide range of outfits, making them a truly versatile essential.
