2025SS Season

In the 2025SS season, the Cake Bag’s Mini size was updated.

With two variations—glossy cowhide embossed with a quilted pattern and metallic leather finished with foil processing—the bag gains greater visual depth and playfulness.

While retaining the structural beauty of seamless construction, round studs, and a magnetic handle, the three-dimensional pattern reflects light from multiple angles, enhancing its presence.

Available in three colors—black, brown, and silver—the bag offers versatility, making it easy to incorporate into everyday styling.

Chains are not included; instead, a studded belt was released separately.

The brand’s philosophy of “something that feels familiar yet looks new” was made even more vivid this season through the renewal of materials.

The Cake Bag first made its debut in the 2024AW season.

The initial release featured two sizes: Standard and Mini, in a black-based color scheme accented with white.

Designer Shinpei Goto stated, “I want scratches, stains, and even wrinkles to become memories,” advocating for a relationship where the owner and the bag share a story through the passage of time and the patina of use.

A Unique Design Inspired by Cake Boxes

Based on the square form of a cake box, the softly rounded corners create a distinctive impression.

The round studs serve both a functional role and an iconic decorative element, adding visual rhythm.

The Essence of Design in the Details

This universal concept was inspired by a scene Goto once witnessed.

On a rainy day, he saw a man—likely a father—walking while carefully holding a cake box to keep it dry, and he found deeper meaning in this ordinary gesture.

He described the protective, gentle action of trying to keep something precious safe as “like seeing a hero.”

This inspiration ties closely with the masculine image MASU continues to explore.
