[March 2022: The Beginning of the Collaboration]
On and LOEWE (Creative Director: Jonathan Anderson) announced their first collaboration.
Initially, it reinterpreted existing trail shoes such as “Cloudventure” and “Cloudrock” through LOEWE’s distinctive color palette.
[October 2023: The Birth of Cloudtilt]
In the third installment of the collaboration, “Cloudtilt” made its debut as an original model created specifically through the partnership.
On’s latest technology, “CloudTec Phase®,” was introduced for the first time outside of performance running, specifically for lifestyle use.
It marked the moment when Spanish luxury sensibility and Swiss engineering converged.
[February 2024: Cloudtilt Released as an Inline On Model]
Following the explosive success of the LOEWE edition, On released Cloudtilt globally as an “inline model (regular line).”
The logo and colorways were simplified to better suit lifestyle wear, while the sole structure and comfort specifications were carried over directly from the LOEWE version.
Even after 2024, joint development through collaboration appears to be ongoing, with releases such as “Cloudtilt 2.0.”

Its Greatest Feature: CloudTec Phase® Technology
Conventional CloudTec featured a structure in which each “hole” compressed independently, but CloudTec Phase is designed through computer analysis so that from heel strike to toe-off, the holes in the sole collapse sequentially like dominoes.
This results in an astonishingly smooth transfer of body weight during walking, making it an ideal design for city walking.
In addition, by deliberately eliminating the rigid plate (Speedboard®) found in many On products, Cloudtilt maximizes the softness and lightness of the sole—another major difference from other models.
Easy On and Off with Speed Laces and a Sock-Like Construction
The sock-like construction that integrates the upper and tongue allows for smooth on-and-off wear, while minimizing pressure even during long hours of use.

Comfort with Sustainability in Mind
The specially constructed mesh upper uses engineered mesh made from 100% recycled polyester for both the outer and inner layers.
In addition, with a weight of approximately 200g–260g per shoe (depending on size), it is extremely lightweight and ideal for travel or long hours of standing.
Furthermore, by adopting solution-dyed coloring methods, water usage has been reduced by 90% compared to conventional processes, achieving an environmentally conscious and sustainable production process.

Staff Review on Fit
Similar to other On models, the overall impression was that the fit runs slightly small.
Thanks to the mesh upper and elastic laces, the fit remains flexible, so width and instep height should feel comfortable for most wearers.
However, the toe area feels slightly tight, so we recommend choosing half a size up from your usual size.

Maintenance Tips for Long-Lasting Wear
Cloudtilt combines lightweight mesh, synthetic materials, and a rubber sole, so with proper care you can maintain both its performance and appearance for a long time.
- Removing surface dirt: After use, lightly wipe off dust and dirt with a dry cloth or soft brush. If moisture or mud is present, gently rinse with lukewarm water.
- Avoid using a washing machine: As it may damage stitching or the sole, it’s best to avoid machine washing. Hand washing followed by air drying in a well-ventilated area is ideal.
- Cleaning the sole grooves (cloud pods): Small stones and sand can easily get trapped in the deep grooves, so check regularly and remove them with a brush. This is important for maintaining cushioning performance.
- Avoid direct sunlight during storage: High temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight can accelerate deterioration of adhesives and materials, so storing them in a breathable shoe rack or shoe box is recommended.
