A Modern Reconstruction of European Vintage

The design takes inspiration from European vintage motorcycle jackets.

It features a large coat-like collar and an asymmetrical front style that enhances wind resistance, giving it a rugged military wear vibe.

While motorcycle jacket designs vary by country—Britain, France, Sweden—this one resembles a Swedish military motorcycle jacket.

Vintage motorcycle jackets often have a compact length with a wide silhouette, but DEVOA maintains the original length while updating the silhouette to a modern regular fit.

With DEVOA's unique interpretation, the design has been streamlined and modernized, achieving a minimal aesthetic.

One of the signature features of motorcycle jackets is the centrally located pocket, which is also present in this jacket.

However, the design is more understated, with the pockets accessible from the sides for better functionality.

Slash pockets are also placed on both sides.

Details at the cuffs and waist are kept minimal with flat horn buttons.

The balance is maintained by incorporating a sharp image without emphasizing ruggedness.

Commitment to Materials

This jacket uses a military gabardine, featuring 100% wool gabardine from Bishu, a renowned Japanese wool textile region.

The fabric is treated with silicone impregnation, giving it a firm texture.

The tough outer fabric is combined with TEIJIN Frontier's high-performance nonwoven fabric (OPTMAX) between the outer and inner layers, creating a three-layer structure.

OPTMAX is a moisture-absorbing and heat-retaining nonwoven fabric that absorbs body moisture and efficiently converts it into heat.

Despite being a three-layer structure, it maintains a soft feel with a thickness of less than 1mm.

Additionally, the fabric uses recycled polyester, making it environmentally friendly.

This creates a surprisingly lightweight outerwear piece, perfect for winter.

The fabric's thickness is similar to that of a standard jacket, so it can be worn as a jacket or as a winter outerwear piece thanks to its functionality.

This simple pullover knit has a design of stitch-like yarns knitted vertically and horizontally.

Three different colored yarns are used to create a single hue, which gives it a complex and deep color.

The dry-touch yarn makes it smooth against the skin, and its moderate thickness makes it easy to wear from fall to spring, giving it a feel similar to a cut and sewn garment.

Another great feature is that it can be easily washed in cold water at home.
