Today, I've put together an outfit using sweatpants, which have recently become popular as everyday wear.

Although sweatpants are often associated with sleepwear or lazy outfits, you can make them fashionable by experimenting with how you pair them and the silhouette they create.

This time I’ve styled using such sweatpants, so please consider this as a reference.

A Garment Full of Professional Flair

We selected a denim jacket from Maison Margiela for the outerwear.

This jacket is an oversized, collarless denim jacket, with a simple design focusing on fabric and silhouette, and meticulous attention to detail.

The raw-edged finish expresses the aesthetics of work-in-progress (unfinished).

It features flap pockets with buttons and is characterized by decorative topstitching.

Moreover, seams stitched with contrasting thread colors elevate the design.

On the back, it features the brand's iconic four-stitch tag.

Adjustable tabs and buttons are fitted on the sides at the hem, allowing for silhouette balance adjustment.

It is a classic and minimal piece yet asserts a distinct individuality, exuding a sense of professionalism.

Sweatpants Crafted with Exceptional Knitting Techniques

For the pants, we selected the loopwheel sweatpants from O PROJECT, which are the star of this coordination.

These pants are deliberately made using an old-fashioned hanging knitting machine that is said to knit only 1mm per hour.

Although the hanging knitting machine has low production efficiency, it does not exert unnecessary force on the yarn during knitting, and the finished fabric is not forcibly rolled.

Therefore, fabric knitted on a hanging knitting machine possesses a softness that becomes more apparent with washing, a warmth akin to hand-knitting, and a unique rich texture that lasts for a long time.

These sweatpants are focused on fabric texture, but great care has also been put into the silhouette.

They feature a sporty ribbed tapered silhouette and a drop crotch, creating bottoms that are perfect for active wear and go exceptionally well with sneakers.
