It adopts Schoeller’s high-end C_Change technology, inspired by the automatic opening and closing mechanism of pinecones. This fully waterproof, breathable, 4-way stretch material features automatic moisture control, enhanced with “coldblack” heat-shield technology and “3XDRY” water-repellent, quick-drying treatment―making it one of Schoeller’s most multifunctional fabrics.
These updates significantly enhance performance, resulting in a high-performance hard shell capable of withstanding harsh environments.
Founded in 1867, Swiss textile manufacturer Schoeller is globally recognized for innovative materials and specialized processing technologies, widely praised in sports and professional fields.
Inspired by pinecone structures that open and close depending on humidity―closing in wet conditions and opening in dry air―this technology allows fibers to close against rain, wind, and cold, and open in warm, dry conditions to release heat and moisture, maintaining optimal comfort across environments from high heat and humidity to sub-zero temperatures.
It is further treated with Nano Sphere technology, which mimics the water-repellent properties of lotus leaves to prevent dirt from adhering.
Compared to lighter colors, darker colors absorb more heat in direct sunlight.
By using SCHOELLER TECHNOLOGIES’ UVA and UVB protective textile treatment COLDBLACK, heat absorption is minimized.
