ZIGGY CHEN has delivered the second installment of its 25SS collection. This shipment includes jackets, shirts, pants, hats, and a collaboration bag with iolom, totaling 26 items with various materials and color options.

This season’s theme is "Gnartricate."

Derived from the Chinese idiom "盤枝錯節 (entangled roots)," it combines the words "Gnarled Branches" and "Intricate," coined by ZIGGY CHEN.

Under the concept of bringing hidden strength and unrestrained beauty to the surface, the collection explores the harmony of opposing elements such as beauty and decay, chaos and order, elegance and comfort.

Inspiration comes from the traditional culture of the Jiangnan region near Shanghai, where the designer is based, as well as Song Dynasty art and Suzhou gardens.

From cuisine and customs to plant shapes and architectural colors, various elements of daily life are reflected in the collection.

Collage techniques inspired by Song Dynasty paintings layer different motifs, expressing the interplay of chaos and harmony, growth and decay found in nature.

Details such as twisted hems, intricate pocket designs, and softly curled brims are also highlights of this season.

The color palette features faded purples, various greens, and grays, evoking aged architecture, weathered garden walls, and the interplay of light and shadow in natural landscapes.

Additionally, a deep, earthy purple, previously absent from ZIGGY CHEN’s color codes, has been introduced.

Materials are chosen for their tactile and visual appeal, offering a soft, comfortable feel and natural texture.

Silhouettes are partially structured yet overall relaxed, emphasizing comfort, naturalness, and fluidity with a modern sensibility.
