【Design】
“GEL-NYC” was developed with inspiration from past archives and the style of modern performance running shoes. The model name comes from the metropolis of “New York,” where cutting-edge fashion and culture intersect.
The upper structure is based on the “GEL-NIMBUS 3,” which appeared in the early 2000s, while incorporating various design elements inherited from another of the brand’s classics, the “GEL-MC PLUS V.” Meanwhile, the sole unit uses the tooling system of the “GEL-CUMULUS 16,” a running shoe known for its high shock absorption. The contrast between the retro atmosphere of the upper and the advanced design of the sole gives it an original presence.

【Silhouette / Size】
Features a three-dimensional upper design with a layered feel, created by combining multiple models. While it has moderate volume, it also retains the sharpness derived from running shoes, allowing it to balance well with a variety of bottom silhouettes, from wide to slim.

【Material Texture / Wearing Feel】
The upper mainly uses genuine leather, combining durability with a luxurious feel. The midsole combines lightweight foam with ASICS’ signature shock-absorbing material, “GEL technology.” This structure effectively absorbs impact upon landing and supports comfortable wear throughout the day.

■ Recommended Wearing Season
An all-season model that can be worn throughout the year regardless of season.
In spring and summer, pair it with shorts or cropped pants for a light style; in autumn and winter, match it with bottoms made from substantial materials such as wool pants or corduroy to add lightness and an active element around the feet.
