“GEL-NYC 2.0” was developed drawing inspiration from ASICS’ rich archive. The upper’s design is constructed based on the structure of the 2000 performance running shoe “GEL-1050”. The materials are updated in a modern way, with gradient parts and reflective details placed throughout. This not only enhances visibility especially at night but also creates a sharp and technical contrast in the design.

【Silhouette & Fit】
Designed for lifestyle wear, it offers a comfortable fit. Compared to the original model, it achieves a significant weight reduction, providing a light and fatigue-resistant wear even during long walks. It inherits the running shoe’s DNA by offering a supportive hold that wraps the foot securely.

【Material Texture & Wear Feel】
The most notable feature is the sole unit, which skillfully combines elements from multiple models to achieve outstanding comfort. The midsole incorporates a design inspired by the soles of GEL-1050 and GEL-LYTE DS II and is equipped with a “TRUSSTIC” support unit to enhance stability. Additionally, by combining the shock-absorbing “GEL” technology with the lightweight and highly responsive “FF BLAST PLUS” cushioning, it pursues comfort comparable to performance shoes.
