A refined interpretation of the universally recognized MA-1 military jacket. Thick, soft ribbing at the collar, cuffs, and hem helps retain warm air inside the garment. The front hem is distinctive: ribbing is placed only at the side sections, while the body fabric continues down to the zipper for a cleaner front view. In contrast, the rear hem uses ribbing across the full width with gathering to create a rounded silhouette. The front uses a white-silver YKK EXCELLA double zipper with a leather pull on the upper slider; opening from the hem reduces bunching when seated. Functional details include a cigarette pocket on the left sleeve, magnetic flap pockets at the front that can be opened easily with one hand, and an interior buttoned pocket.

A loose fit with generous room overall, balanced by a shorter body length. The full body width is gathered into the ribbed hem to create characteristic rounded volume around the torso. Raglan sleeves eliminate shoulder seams and reduce restriction when heavy inner layers are worn. Multiple darts at the elbows shape the sleeves along the natural curve of the arms and retain enough volume toward the cuffs for comfortable flexion.

The insulation is Thinsulate EX Soft, whose fine fibers trap insulating air efficiently. The jacket is fully lined in smooth cupro for easy layering over substantial knitwear.
