Inspired by the sequined jacket worn during the iconic moonwalk performance in 1983, this piece is rebuilt using specially processed cracking foil leather. The cracked foil surface reflects light in a complex, scattered way, creating a unique shine like afterimages on stage that move with the wearer. The right hand features a detachable leather glove that serves not only as a design accent but also as a detail that deeply expresses the world view. This piece is made in collaboration with "A LEATHER," a highly regarded Japanese leather brand.
【Silhouette and Fit】
The box silhouette features a slightly relaxed width while keeping the length shorter to achieve a contemporary balance. The relaxed dropped shoulders blend with the heavy feel unique to leather jackets, showcasing the brand’s distinctive pattern making.
【Material Texture and Wearability】
The outer material uses high-quality cow leather with robust and uniform fibers that will soften and mold to the body over time, offering natural aging changes. The cracked foil finish on the surface provides overwhelming presence, serving as the design’s core. The lining is 100% cupra, which offers a smooth touch along with excellent moisture absorption and release properties. It makes putting the jacket on easy and provides comfort without the stiffness typical of leather.
