The drop shoulder line and small chest pocket create a relaxed atmosphere. The indigo color evokes the deep, vibrant tone of raw washed denim. This distinctive boro pattern is based on high-resolution scans of vintage fabrics about 100 years old personally collected by designer Manabu Tsuyoshi.

Lightweight, very soft with a sweatshirt-like gentle texture. Unlike just printed fabric, this jacquard weaving uses Okayama’s advanced technique to embody the visual features of boro directly in the fabric. FDMTL respects the historical context of boro―meaning worn and torn―and the cultural necessity to fully use fabric scraps through patching, a philosophy deeply embedded in the brand. This “completion through wear and repair” philosophy underpins the product, which grows more beloved over time.
