Based on GUIDI’s classic derby shoe [792], which has been available since the early days alongside models [992] and [988], the [792X] modifies the sole to a Vibram tank sole. It utilizes the extremely durable Norwegian welt construction often used for mountain boots, with thick stitching from the upper to the welt that exudes a substantial presence. The voluminous tank sole offers great versatility, pairing well with everything from casual styles to classic slacks.

【Silhouette & Fit】
While the appearance when worn is almost identical to the original [792], this model features a comfort fit with a slightly wider width. By providing extra room at the widest part of the foot, it ensures comfortable wear even for extended periods. This design also reduces stress on the leather and helps prevent deformation, making it highly practical.

【Material Texture & Wear Comfort】
The upper is made of horse full-grain leather that retains the silver grain (leather surface). It features GUIDI’s distinctive strong character, incorporating natural wrinkles and scars as design elements. With wear, the inner oils of the leather gradually surface, deepening the color and producing a beautiful luster, resulting in a unique aging process.

GUIDI products are crafted using original methods to maximize the texture of the material. Please understand the following characteristics when using:
・Due to the nature of the material, each piece may differ in texture and may show slight scratches, wrinkles, or uneven coloring. Please enjoy these as charms unique to natural leather.
・The brand’s identity is reflected in its object-dyeing (product dyeing) technique, where dyes penetrate deeply into the leather core. To preserve the leather’s natural texture, unique “nume” feel, and aging qualities, strong color-fixing treatments are not applied. Therefore, especially in the early wear period, color transfer due to friction or moisture may easily occur.

【Precautions & Tips When Wearing】
・For several months after purchase, avoid pairing with white or light-colored socks and pants, or exercise sufficient caution.
・To reduce color transfer, it is recommended to apply a leather care and waterproof spray over the entire shoe before use. Fluorine-based sprays form an invisible protective layer on the leather surface that can help suppress dye bleeding.
