The 992 is a signature derby shoe that has been part of GUIDI’s lineup since the brand’s earliest period, alongside the one-piece back-zip boot 988. Its stripped-back, minimal, and refined form embodies GUIDI’s distinctive aesthetic.

【Silhouette / Size】
The last is exceptionally narrow through the width, producing a tight and sharp profile. In particular, the widest area around the ball of the foot is deliberately cut close, creating pressure from both sides that holds the foot securely. This excellent sense of fit not only provides comfortable wear but also offers the practical advantage of helping the shoe retain its shape even after years of use.

【Material Texture / Wearing Feel】
Made from calf leather finished with GUIDI’s signature object-dyeing process. The dye penetrates deeply into the leather, creating the distinctive depth associated with this technique. To maximize the leather’s natural texture, slightly oily feel, and rich tannin-tanned patina that develops with continued wear, no color-fixing treatment is intentionally applied. As a result, minor scratches, wrinkles, and color variations may be present, but these are incorporated into the design as part of the unique character expected from an artisanal brand.

■ Wearing Precautions and Recommended Care
GUIDI products are intentionally left without a color-fixing finish in order to preserve the natural leather texture and aging process. As a result, color transfer to clothing and socks can occur, particularly during the initial period of wear.
・Initial wear: For the first several months, please avoid or exercise extra caution when pairing the shoes with white or light-colored trousers and socks.
・Pre-treatment: To help reduce the risk of color transfer, we recommend applying a leather conditioning / waterproofing spray over the entire surface before wear. Fluorine-based sprays may help protect against external moisture while also reducing the migration of dye from within the leather.

■ Recommended Wearing Season
These leather shoes can be incorporated into a wide range of styling regardless of season. Through repeated wear and care, they gradually conform to the owner’s feet and develop a unique patina and character.
