【Design】
PL2 is based on GUIDI’s signature front-zip boot PL1, with the shaft extended for a taller silhouette. The bold front zipper running down the center of the upper is one of the brand’s most recognizable design elements. The rounded toe gains volume through layered leather construction and curves slightly upward at the tip, creating a distinctive and commanding form. The upper is constructed from a luxurious single piece of leather with seams reduced to an absolute minimum, allowing the natural character of the leather itself to take center stage. A practical pull tab is placed at the rear of the collar, while the zipper pull is engraved with the brand logo, reflecting GUIDI’s artisanal philosophy down to the smallest detail.

【Silhouette / Size】
The PL series uses a distinctly sharp last that sets it apart from many of GUIDI’s other models. The elongated shaft is also cut slim to follow the ankle closely, creating a clean appearance while providing a secure hold. The boot is constructed using the durable Goodyear welt method; with repeated wear, the insole gradually compresses and conforms to the shape of the wearer’s foot. The outsole uses a single sole construction with a double-layer heel for stable wear.

【Material Texture / Wearing Feel】
Made from GUIDI’s signature horse reverse leather, traditionally vegetable-tanned by skilled tanners and finished using the brand’s distinctive object-dye / tumbler-dye process. The leather has a matte, rugged yet refined nap, while the garment-dyeing process creates natural variations in color and shading that give every pair a unique three-dimensional expression. Richly infused with oils, the leather is exceptionally soft and supple, with a moist hand that molds closely to the foot. As the boots are worn, deep and beautiful creases develop according to the wearer’s foot shape, while friction and light gradually change the color and texture, allowing the pair to evolve into a truly individual piece.

【Characteristics and Care of Natural Leather / Object-Dyed Products】
・Due to the characteristics of natural leather, minor scratches, wrinkles, color variation, and rubbing may be present. These should be enjoyed as part of the material’s inherent character.
・Because of GUIDI’s proprietary dyeing method, dye penetrates deeply into the leather and may transfer onto clothing. To preserve the leather’s natural texture and aging process, no color-fixing treatment is intentionally applied.
・During the initial period of wear, we recommend avoiding white or light-colored socks and trousers.
・Applying a leather conditioning / waterproofing spray over the entire surface before wear may help reduce the risk of color transfer.

■ Recommended Wearing Season
The boots can be incorporated into styling throughout the year, but they bring particular depth and substance to autumn and winter looks.

・Spring / Summer: Pairing substantial boots with lighter clothing creates a strong contrast that sharpens the overall styling.
・Autumn / Winter: The sturdy leather construction is especially well suited to colder seasons and pairs beautifully with warm materials such as wool and tweed.
