A single-piece leather back-zip boot, alongside the [988], is one of GUIDI's iconic early staple pieces, the single sole derby shoe [992], now improved with a slightly wider width.
The silhouette and appearance when worn are almost identical to the regular 992, but the part around the ball of the foot―the widest part of the foot―barely touches the sides, providing a more relaxed fit.
Also, because the sides of the foot are less likely to touch the leather, the strain on the leather when worn is reduced, making deformation less likely.

■ Characteristics of Natural Leather and Product Dyeing
・Due to the nature of the material, some scratches, wrinkles, uneven color, and rubbing may be visible.
・Because of the brand's unique Object Dyeing method, dye penetrates deeply into the leather core, making it prone to color transfer.
・To preserve the leather’s original texture, aging, and the unique "slippery feel," a color fix treatment is deliberately not applied.

■ Precautions and Measures When Wearing
・Initial use precautions
For several months from new, avoid pairing with white or light-colored clothing and socks, or exercise great caution.

・Pre-care
To reduce color transfer, it is recommended to spray leather conditioner and waterproofing agent over the entire shoe before first use. A fine fluorine film repels external moisture and suppresses dye migration from inside, greatly reducing the risk of color transfer.
