The skeletal illustrations are taken from Andreas Vesalius’s 1543 anatomy book “De humani corporis fabrica,” considered one of the most important in medical history.
It includes famous poses such as “The Skeleton Meditating on a Skull” and “The Gravedigger” holding a spade.
While open collars are commonly used for short sleeves, this piece intentionally uses long sleeves and places a pocket at the left side to create a subtle dissonance characteristic of THE VIRIDI-ANNE.
Motifs linked to DEVOA designer Mr. Nishida’s roots are printed, revealing the sensibilities and backgrounds of both Mr. Okaniwa and Mr. Nishida.
Made from strong-twist cotton with little fuzz and a pleasant touch, then garment-treated with aging-style distressing for a vintage-like rugged mood.
With a light drape and slightly thin hand, it’s wearable year-round.
Finished in a slightly relaxed silhouette for easy comfort.
