The padded Velcro ankle strap, which secures the ankle, has evolved into a more pronounced sculptural element that wraps around the shoe. Maison Margiela’s signature single white stitch is discreetly placed at the heel, while conventional flat laces remain hidden beneath the flap, reflecting the brand’s characteristic intellectual humor in even the smallest details.

The FUTURE has a distinctive mid-top silhouette that is both sleek and chunky, combining substantial volume with a refined overall shape. Its strong form also works well with styling in which trouser hems are tucked inside the tongue, adding a clear and individual presence to the feet.

【Material Texture / Wearing Feel】
Made entirely from exceptionally soft and high-quality calfskin leather. The lining and sole are also finished in the same white tone, creating a tonal color scheme that further emphasizes the minimal construction and directional, fashion-forward character.
