Drawing inspiration from the US military's ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) Level3 fleece, this fleece jacket is reinterpreted uniquely by meanswhile. Unlike the original military wear’s rugged and casual vibe, certain details are intentionally omitted to achieve a more refined and clean appearance. The patternmaking focuses on highlighting the beauty of the silhouette throughout the design.

【Silhouette & Fit】
The shoulder area features yoke sleeves forming rounded lines, and the chest width allows moderate room to ensure comfortable movement. Overall, the garment is designed with a compact pattern mindful of layering so it can function both as an inner layer and an outer layer, offering versatile styling options.

【Material Texture & Wear Comfort】
The material uses an original fabric that faithfully reproduces the excellent thermal insulation structure and comfortable feel of the US military’s ECWCS Level3 fleece using cotton. It successfully replaces the air-trapping loft (bulk) usually provided by polyester fleece with a high-density cotton chino weave and special brushing process. This avoids the typical texture of synthetic fibers and offers a natural and gentle touch unique to cotton. The surface presents a classic woven fabric expression, while the textured backside efficiently retains body heat, ensuring comfort even when layered. This material embodies the brand’s philosophy by inheriting the functional rationality of military wear and elevating it to a high-quality, neutral everyday wear.

The cotton-based fabric and air-trapping thermal structure make this jacket suitable for a wide range of seasons.

・Spring, Autumn: Ideal as a light outer layer over cut-and-sew or shirts. The natural feel of cotton blends well with transitional season styling.
