OJOJO NAITO is a next-generation sandal line developed by Kyoto Gion-based artisan footwear maker Naito, reinterpreting the structure of traditional Japanese zori into a modern super-basic form. It features a comfortable fit that wraps the foot like tabi, and a clean silhouette suitable for both city and resort use. The color palette draws inspiration from the earthen walls of Kyoto townhouses and mossy gardens, accented seasonally with vivid Kyoto Yuzen dyes. Innovative materials such as baby bottle rubber for the thong, tire rubber for the outsole, and special cork for the footbed deliver high functionality including reduced fatigue and improved posture. OJOJO NAITO connects tradition and modernity through sandals that are refined yet easy to wear, sharing a new Kyoto style from the ground up.
