Based on the so-called 'Type 3' jacket, which is said to be the definitive form of the denim jacket that appeared in the 1960s. It sets itself apart from the boxy silhouettes of the Type 1 and Type 2, with its main feature being a three-dimensional design composed of multiple panel parts. The seams are double-stitched lap seams, and with repeated wear, beautiful wrinkles called 'puckering' form along the seams, developing a rich expression full of light and shadow.

The three-dimensional pattern-making, calculated to follow the body's lines, creates a smart and clean fit. It is finished with a sophisticated, modern silhouette that sheds the rugged image of traditional denim jackets.

[Material Texture and Feel]
This piece uses a newly developed 100% cotton black denim that has been deeply researched for its aging potential. This special fabric was born from the idea that the beauty of the puckering created by the unique paneling of the Type 3 jacket might stand out even more in black than in indigo.
The warp threads are 'rope-dyed' with sulfur dye, a method that leaves the core white, similar to indigo denim. While it is typically extremely difficult to achieve a white core with sulfur dyes, a special pre-treatment makes it possible, designed so that whiskers and beautiful vertical fading appear as the deep black is worn in.
In contrast, the weft threads are 'cheese-dyed,' which dyes them black to the core. By weaving these threads, dyed with different methods, a special black denim is created that, despite being a single color, has the depth and richness characteristic of yarn-dyed fabrics.
