The Authentic, once known as “Style 44,” is a VANS icon that supported skateboarding culture in the 1970s. This pair from the VANS PREMIUM line faithfully follows the archive design of that time while updating it with modern technology. Details such as the stitching on the heel strip, and the glossy sidewall and foxing tape made thicker than the regular model, strongly recreate the atmosphere of the era. In addition, the black foxing line is a Japan-exclusive detail. Careful attention is given to the smallest parts, including the number of metal eyelets differing by size, with four eyelets up to 24 cm and five eyelets from 24.5 cm and above.
